Hi friends!
I know it's really easy to turn into a Netflix blob, but I guarantee that you'll feel better once you get moving and get those endorphins going. PROMISE!

Here are some goodies that I enjoy:
  • Darebee.com has a TON of workouts, challenges, recipes, meal plans--you name it, they got it.
  • Strava is an app that tracks and analyzes all of your activity, AND you can set up challenges with friends if you're feeling really saucy.
  • The Tube of You is obviously fuuulllll of amazing yogis, but my favorite is Yoga with Adriene. She has a whole range of workouts to match your fitness levels and yoga desires.
  • If running is more your jam, or if you're wanting a running program to help with motivation, then I recommend Hal Higdon. I used his program when training for my first marathon, and it made the whole process a lot easier and less stressful.
  • Lastly, I'm in love with my gym--HIITHouseLA. Purchasing a membership gives you lifetime access to their online sessions. Kinsey, the owner, is hilarious and uplifting, and all of the exercises can be done with bodyweight. Can't recommend enough!

Final thing I want to say: work out because it's good for your body AND because it's good for your mental health. Don't work out because you feel like you NEED to get in the best shape of your life during a global pandemic and quarantine. Do it because it makes you feel good. That's what we need right now--things that make us feel good. Yay for endorphins!

    The ACTIVE ACTOR

You are probably wondering this blog is about. Well, it's about anything that everything that I find inspiring, helpful, and curiosity building.

Curiosity is my favorite state of being, and I've become a treasure hunter and a trash hoarder, collecting all sorts of articles, artwork, and accessories that fuel my inspiration and creativity.

This will also be a place for me to document my life as an actor and coach in Los Angeles. If performing is your passion, I hope that this blog becomes a place for you to learn from my mistakes, grow from my accomplishments, laugh at my witless choices, and share in this crazy, unpredictable, beautiful, life in the arts.
