I love my female friendships. They are the backbone to my happiness and the people who keep me grounded. They also supply me with wine and craft nights, so yes, I love them. This past weekend a few of my friends and I met at a friend's apartment and created vision boards! TA DA! Could anything BE more incredible?? We laughed at the cheesiness of it while secretly crossing our fingers that all our hopes and dreams would become manifest because of some glue sticks, magazines, and chilled wine. More than anything though, we opened up to each other about what we were truly aching for in our lives. Sometimes just saying it out loud can be immensely helpful--you're putting it out there in the universe, and you're also holding yourself accountable to the people you find encouraging and motivating. The three of us also discovered that we, unbeknownst to each other, were all reading the same book: You Are a Badass, by Jen Sincero. If you haven't read this book then DO IT NOW. Also, did you know that hoopla.com lets you check out 8 audio books or e-books each month for FREE if you have a library card?? WHHHHAAAT? I KNOW! Every day I have been sitting in LA traffic and listening to Jen Sincero tell me how much of a badass I am. Seriously, yall--check out hoopla, and check out You Are a Badass. You won't regret it. Below are some photos of our vision boards. I hope they inspire you to create your own :) Don't forget the wine and snacks--this is crucial, yall.

The ACTIVE ACTORYou are probably wondering this blog is about. Well, it's about anything that everything that I find inspiring, helpful, and curiosity building.
Curiosity is my favorite state of being, and I've become a treasure hunter and a trash hoarder, collecting all sorts of articles, artwork, and accessories that fuel my inspiration and creativity.
This will also be a place for me to document my life as an actor and coach in Los Angeles. If performing is your passion, I hope that this blog becomes a place for you to learn from my mistakes, grow from my accomplishments, laugh at my witless choices, and share in this crazy, unpredictable, beautiful, life in the arts.
