Hi friends! Here are some more resources; if you missed part I, scoot on down the page to find a list of podcasts, interviews, etc to help you pass the time AND feed your creative brain. Below are two online resources--one is targeted to high school students, and the other is targeted to teachers, BUT anyone can benefit from these programs. CTG Virtual College and Career Fair: Get Ready for Center Theatre Group’s Virtual College & Career Fair! We’re so excited to spend time with aspiring teen artists (and others!) this Saturday. Read on for information about how to participate in our 100% virtual College & Career Fair for the Arts. DATE/TIME: Saturday, March 21, 9am-2:30pm WHERE: On your couch, in your PJs—or wherever the WiFi works best. HOW: This Saturday, visit http://CTGLA.org/CareerFairLive on your phone or computer. That’s it! If you don’t have consistent internet access, we’ll still be sharing out resources that we hope you’ll find helpful with all high school students who complete the RSVP form accessible via www.CTGLA.org/CollegeFair. We’re also happy to set up phone calls with individual high school students if you don’t have internet access and would still like to talk about careers in the arts. Just reply to this email and we’ll make it happen. WHO CAN WATCH? Everyone! The event is designed primarily for arts-interested teens and their parents & educators, but the livestream is accessible to all. CAN I SHARE THIS INFORMATION? Yes! Please feel free to share this email, and the additional information about how to tune in when we send it by Friday. SCHEDULE: We’ll post a more detailed schedule on http://CTGLA.org/CareerFairLive by Friday afternoon. Note that all times will be approximate. 9am-9:30am: Welcome & Warm-Up 9:30-12pm: Artists’ Life Topics—20-minute sessions led by artists and others on a variety of topics, from choosing a major to how to make a living as an artist. 12pm-1pm: College Financing for Artists (and Parents) 1pm-2pm: 100% That Boss: Entrepreneurship for Artists 2pm-2:30pm: Close-Out CAN I PARTICIPATE IN ANY WAY? We’ll have a live chat stream, moderated by our staff. We’d love for you to contribute to the conversation, and the artists and professional guests will be taking questions from all of you throughout the day. The “Live Chat” button on http://CTGLA.org/CareerFairLive will be live when the event starts. WILL IT BE RECORDED?/CAN I WATCH IT LATER? We’re going to try to record portions of it, but can’t promise we’ll be able to release the entire event for viewing after the livestream. We will do our best! I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE RESOURCE FAIR. IS IT STILL HAPPENING? We were looking forward to it too! We’ve asked all of the participating colleges, universities and organizations to send us some basic information about their programs. We’ll send that information next week to everyone who RSVPd for the event (go to www.CTGLA.org/CollegeFair), along with any materials the presenters would like to share with you. WHAT ABOUT THE HEADSHOTS AND BACKSTAGE SUBSCRIPTION? We’ll be rescheduling the headshots at a later date, and will follow up with all current high school students who RSVPd to let them know how to participate. We’ll also share info for how current high school students can access the free Backstage subscription (available to new subscribers only). www.CTGLA.org/CollegeFair Los Angeles Theatre Works Resources for Teachers and Educators:
During this time when schools are turning to at-home learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, many teachers are struggling to find relevant, high-quality distance learning resources. We are asking your help to let teachers know about our Setting the Stage for Learning educational arts program, which harnesses the power of professional theater to deepen students’ understanding of important dramatic works to create a meaningful learning experience. Teachers will be provided free streaming access to 25 educational titles (listed below) for use in English, Social Studies, Drama, Science and elective classes, which they can share with their students, all free of charge. We will also provide an introductory education guide for how to use our recordings in remote learning settings and in the classroom. The complete title list (also listed below) and enrollment information can be found at https://latw.org/setting-stage-learning

Tools and ResourcesYou are probably wondering this blog is about. Well, it's about anything that everything that I find inspiring, helpful, and curiosity building.
Curiosity is my favorite state of being, and I've become a treasure hunter and a trash hoarder, collecting all sorts of articles, artwork, and accessories that fuel my inspiration and creativity.
This will also be a place for me to document my life as an actor and coach in Los Angeles. If performing is your passion, I hope that this blog becomes a place for you to learn from my mistakes, grow from my accomplishments, laugh at my witless choices, and share in this crazy, unpredictable, beautiful, life in the arts.
